Fishing in height ranges -64 to -32 OR 299 to 320, regardless of biome, adds +1 diamond fish drop.

Fishing tag events add +1 platinum fish and +1 diamond fish to all biomes.

Biomes with precipitation type snow or dry do not give the +25% fishing speed buff when raining.

Fishing in a boat does not give a fishing speed buff, but it makes you look cool!

Off-handing your fishing rod gives an unintened fishing speed buff.
